The Catholic Art Institute invites all artists, architects, art-lovers, students, scholars, and patrons of the arts to join our vibrant and growing community of Catholic creatives and culture-changers. Join our mission to restore a culture of truth, beauty, and goodness through the elevation of the visual arts by becoming a member or donor today. Members directly support our unique
programming which is crucial for the revitalization of the Catholic visual arts.
The CAI equips artists to use their gifts for the glory of God through community-building, networking and educational events, opportunities for professional development, and the spiritual support of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and weekly prayers offered for their intentions.

Our robust programming includes:

  •  hosting monthly virtual and/or in-person presentations on the visual arts by top artists, architects, philosophers, and theologians of our day.                              

  • offering hands-on workshops in traditional art techniques and materials by professional artists.                                                                                                                   

  • showcasing online and pop-up juried art exhibitions curated by leading experts in Catholic sacred art.                                                                                                 

  • presenting our lauded annual national conference at the elegant Drake Hotel in Chicago, IL.

  • Weekly Mass (1962 Missale Romanum) offered for your intentions and work as an artist.                                                                 

  • A special Mass (1962 Missale Romanum) will be offered annually for the living members of the CAI on the Feast of Pope St. Pius V (May 5) and on the Feast of Pope St. Pius X (September 3).                                                                                             

  • Share in the spiritual benefits of the daily celebration of the Divine Office and the recitation of the Holy Rosary offered by the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius.                                                                    

  • Share in the spiritual ministry of the Canons Regular, especially the charism of the “Restoration of the Sacred” in Catholic art.                                                                                                                      

  •  Share in the graces and prayers of fellow artists as we support each other in our good works.
